Dear Kevin,

Things not to miss near where you are staying are:-

Chedworth Roman Villa, Chastleton House, Stanway House, Hidcote Gardens, Snowshill Manor.

Good pub - The Hollow Bottom at Naunton.

Obviously you will also visit Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Broadway Tower, Chipping Campden and Stanton (nice pub here - The Mount with great views and sunsets).

Every where you go there are wonderful walks - try the one from Broadway up the Cotswold escarpement to Broadway Tower.

Enjoy your Cotswold Holiday.smile

NB: All the places mentioned you will find on www.cotswolds.info.

My wife and I are having a vacation at the end of August 2010 in the Cotwolds. We are staying in a cottage in a village called Farmington.  We enjoy walking, visiting castles etc. Basically we would like a peaceful holiday with places of interest to visit.  We plan to have a day out in Stratford upon Avon during our week stay.   Could you please recommend any nice walks (Country pubs along the way preffered for me), and more nice places to visit.
