We'll be coming from the U.S. next May and will only have 4-5 hours to spend in the Cotswolds before heading to Blenheim Palace in the afternoon and I need suggestions on making the most of our time.
We'll be coming from Tintern Abbey the night before via either Gloucester or Tewkesbury and then Broadway and hope to arrive in Chipping Campden at least an hour before dusk so we have time to walk around the town. I heard this was a good place to stay for reasonably priced lodging (there's 4 of us so we'll need 2 rooms) but am certainly open to lodging elsewhere per your suggestions. The main things I want to do the next morning is the 2-mile round trip walk between Upper and Lower Slaughter as well as a visit to the village of Bibury. What other picturesque villages should we have time to visit, or at least drive through and still make it to Blenheim Palace at least 3 hours before its 5:30 closing?
