my wife and I are visiting for a week and would like to stay in a village within 100 yards of a good pub. ( I here it rains a bit so we want to be able to walk home in the wet).
We can find plenty of cottages the are nearby, within walking distance, 3 to 4 minutes away, just a short stroll away etc but none that say there are eg 3 great pubs within 1/2 a mile.
We are not looking for "fantastic views, decor, cosy, wood fire, romantic, quiet, etc" we are after a nice place where we can park a car after a days exploring and walk down and enjoy English pub food and atmosphere.
